My dear Sir,
I am requested by the Council to inform you that you have been unanimously elected an Honorary2 Fellow of this Society.
The accompaning propectus will acquaint you with the particulars & objects of the Society, which now numbers nearly 800 members, to which gives promise of a billiant picture. We hope that although distant from its operations, the Society will not be deprived of the benefits which must neccessarily be conferred upon it3, by the lustre of your distinguished name. That you may live many years to enjoy the professional social reputation which you have to honorably earned is the earnest wish of
