My dear Sir, During the Christmas Holidays I had not an opportuinity of laying your letter of 25 Nov before the Directors of the Philharmonic Society, but I have now done so. They desire me to thank you in their name for your kind connumeration, and to say that it will give them great pleasure to perform your 9th symphonie „The Seasons“ during the approaching season. I have obtained the Score (Partition) at the house of Messrs Ewer & Co. Your wishes with regards to the performance of the work and the manner of annoncing it in the programme, shall be carefully attended to.
I hope to see your friend Kapellmeister Bott on his arrival in London, and shall be happy to be of any use to him that maybe in my power. I am with great respect & esteem
