The Directors of the Philharmonic Society, understanding that it is your intention to visit London this season, beg that you will have the kindness to inform them at what time you expect to arrive, and whether there is any work of your‘s which you would wish the Society to perform in your presence; a tribute of respect which they desire to pay to an illustrious artist whom the Society had the honour to number among its Honorary Members.
