Dieser Brief ist die Antwort auf Gye an Spohr, 24.01.1852. Gye beantwortete diesen Brief am 11.02.1853.
Inhaltsangabe laut Antiquariatskatalogen: „L. a. s. à M. Gye, directeur du Théâtre-Italien, à Londres; Cassel, 29 janvier 1853, 2 p. ½ in-4°. / Belle lettre dans laquelle il parle des concerts qu‘il doit donner à la Société philharmonique d‘Exeter-Hall, et de son opéra Jessonda. Cette œuvre ainsi que toutes les autres sont sa propriété, etc...“.
Dabei handelt es sich offensichtlich um die New Philharmonic Society in London (vgl. Louis Spohr, Louis Spohr's Selbstbiographie, Bd. 2, Kassel und Göttingen 1861, S. 357f.).
