My dear Sir,
I have received with great pleasure your letter and the compositions which accompanied it, which I shall prize the more for perceiving them from yourself, and beg you will accept my thanks. I was rejoiced to hear that you and Madame Spohr had such a favorable journey home, which will I hope induce you again to return to this country next year.
My niece and myself unite in kindest regards to Madame Spohr and yourself, and Sir George Smart and his family desire their warmest remembrances.
