My dear Sir,

It gives me much pleasure to acquaint you that the Musical Instute of London have elected you an Honorary Member by acclamation & I am commssioned by the Fellows to state that some of the Council are anxious to wait upon you to explain to you the objects of the Society and the privileges it confers.
I have informed them how much you are occupied and they will wait your convenience as to when and where it will be most convenient to receive them, as they are anxious personally as well as by letter to express their respect.
