My dear & honoured Friend
The bearer of this note is Mr. Russel Martineau, the son of an old friend & relation of mine. He is proceeding to Göttingen, to enter the University there, and proposes to visit Cassel.
He is very fond of Music, & plays the Piano forte, though an amateur, and requests the honour of an introduction to you. If you will allow him to hear some of your delightful Quartets, I shall feel very much obliged.
